What’s so special about skydiving??

Taking you one one way flights!

Shopping for really boring household goods (duvets, loo brush, that kind of thing…) before a manifest shift a couple of weeks ago – dressed in a UK Para T shirt.

Why am I talking about this?

I was surprised to be confronted by the check out lady. Is that the skydiving place in Beccles she opened with, as it turns out her daughter had tandem skydived with us. She went on to tell me all about the experience and how she spectated and what a wonderful day it was – and how much her daughter loved the whole thing.  Who said our team T shirt wasn’t good advertising – even if it isn’t that stylish!

My second store visit of the morning

Casually wandering the aisles and the store manager stops me – to tell me all about her jump experience, how shes dying to learn how to skydive solo, how amazing the whole thing was… After 20 minutes I made my excuses to get to the drop zone.

The whole thing made me think we quote a half day experience, but actually the whole thing lasts so much longer.

Years had passed since each of these people had skydived. Yet it still makes them smile and buzz with excitement recounting their experience.

How does this feel good factor last so log – are we building life long memories? I think its more that bragging rights, or simply showing off – skydiving is an experience that lasts a lifetime
