The Big Leaaap in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance

By Skydive - UK Parachuting

Join us on Saturday 18 May 2019 to take on the most incredible leap of your life and help save the life of someone else. We are looking for 50 daredevils to come together for this exhilarating tandem skydiving challenge for East Anglian Air Ambulance. By taking part, you will be funding even more lifesaving missions, ensuring our helicopters remain in the sky (unlike you!).

Since our launch in 2000 we have attended over 20,000 lifesaving missions, touching the lives of many thousands of people. Our crew comprises specialist pre-hospital doctors and critical-care paramedics, operating out of two high-tech helicopters from 07:00 until 19:00 from our Norwich base and from 07:00 until 01:30 from our Cambridge base. We were the first air ambulance in the country to attend helicopter emergency medical incidents in the hours of darkness to unknown and unlit sites.

What does it cost?

£350 including sponsorship (£50 deposit will be taken upon registration).

About the event

Following a short pre-jump briefing, you will board an aircraft and soar to around 13,000 feet (approximately two miles high!). When you and your instructor leave the plane, you will fall at about 120 mph, descending to 5,000 feet in around 40 seconds. At this point, your instructor will open the parachute and fly you safely back to earth! During the six minutes or so under the parachute, you will enjoy breath-taking bird’s eye views of the East Anglian countryside, just like our life saving helicopter crew!

All you need to do is be brave, smile and enjoy your Big Leaaap!

The weight limits for a Tandem Skydive are 16.7 Stone (107 Kg) for men and 15.7 Stone (99 Kg) for women. The minimum age is 16.
