By Jason Thompson - UK Parachuting
St. Luke’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care for people living in the Basildon & Thurrock districts with any life threatening, life limiting disease. This often means cancer but also includes other illnesses that are no longer curable, such as Heart Failure, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease or Chronic Pulmonary Obstructive Disease.
Care and support is offered through a wide range of services that are tailor made to meet the needs of individuals. This care is extended to families, carers and friends. This support and care is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is completely free.
St. Luke’s also provides counselling services to adults and also to children through Luke’s Counselling Service for Children and Young People.
You have to raise a total of £405, breaking that down it’s a £50 deposit and then £355 to either be sponsored by or give the money yourself.
